Established in 1987, Wooly Comforts has
strived to promote the wonders of wool fibers in quilting and in fiber art.
After a few years of 4-H sheep, we decided to research various products made from natural wool. The discovery of the rich history of wool batting in the United States, it seemed natural to produce this batting for the family quilts. However, the sheep produced more wool than what was needed so it was concluded that there was a market for natural wool batting among quilters. We have traveled and sold our wool for nearly 20 years and have enjoyed promoting the wonders of natural wool. It has been a rewarding experience being able to take the wool from our sheep flock and the flocks of our friends from Ross County Ohio and make wool batting, roving, felt, and doll hair to sell all over the world.
